Kumasi · since 2025
Innocent Lives Aid Foundation supports less-privileged parents and their babies before, during and after childbirth — from the first antenatal visit to the baby's first year.
Why we exist
We started in 2025 after seeing too many mothers in and around Kumasi skip antenatal visits, give birth at home without a midwife, or go home with nothing for their newborn — simply because of cost.
We walk with each family through three stages — before birth, during birth and after birth — so that no mother or baby falls through the gaps.
Antenatal check-ups, vitamins, nutrition and parenting classes.
Delivery fees, clean birth kits and emergency transport to hospital.
Home visits, baby care kits, breastfeeding and immunisation support.
Independent audits and published spend, including what went wrong.
What we do
Everything we do is focused on parents and babies around childbirth.

Antenatal check-ups, transport to clinic, prenatal vitamins and nutrition support for expectant mothers who cannot afford them.

Hospital delivery fees, clean birth kits and emergency transport so no mother gives birth alone or unsafely because of cost.

Postnatal home visits, baby care kits, breastfeeding support, immunisation reminders and follow-up for the first year.

From the field
Mother's story · 18 Jun 2025
At 19 and seven months pregnant, Akosua had never had an antenatal check-up. Three months later she gave birth in a hospital, with a midwife beside her.
How we work · 2 May 2025
Every family we support goes home with a kit. Here is what is inside, and what mothers told us to add.
After birth · 27 Mar 2025
The weeks after birth are when mothers and babies are most at risk — and most often left alone. This is what a visit looks like.
